Vestiges of this art comes from ancient times. Domestic and ornamental objects were made of

|
metals such as gold, silver and copper. These metals were laminated by heating and then hammering.

Naturally the tools were few and primitive.

One of the most appreciated techniques of embossing is the "Icon" making. The icons were used to
